Soren Winters | 24 | Memory Thief
Soren grew up with his older sister, Freyj, where home-life quickly got rocky and uncomfortable. Freyj tried to take care of most of the fighting between their parents, but after discovering their powers, left home (for good reason). Soren, too young to understand why, spent the rest of his time trying to make sure his parents didn't fight (it didn't work). He became withdrawn and became attached to his computer, acting as a hermit until he found out he could steal memories from people. In an attempt to fix his family, he tried to take the bad memories away from his parents. He ended up wiping his parents' memories, and while they understood he was supposed to be there, they were confused by his presence on bad days. Soren left home shortly after the incident, clinging to his sister to make up for lost time. He has a fear of returning home one day, frightened of the memories that he has of his home.
Thieving: Soren focuses on trauma-related memories or nostalgic memories, to make up for the memories he never had of home, and works with in a rehabilitation facility with patients who suffer from PTSD or other illnesses stemmed from trauma. When Soren steals those bad memories, he will need to call out of work because of how awful the side effects are.
